2+ Scholarships @ a minimum of $300+ each

Scholarship Name: Sue Hallahan-Cook and Robert Sanchez RCONA Scholarship

Scholarship Description: Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (RCONA) is a non-profit organization improving the quality of life in Roseville by sharing information with neighborhoods, businesses, government, etc. https://rcona.org/  RCONA is offering this scholarship opportunity to all High School Seniors who reside in Roseville or attend a RJUHSD school and plan on pursuing a college education or receiving a certificate in a vocational program.

Scholarship Details: Two to ten scholarships (however the school system allows the input) @ a minimum of $300 each for students who qualify as follows:

REQUIREMENTS:

·        General Application.

·        Transcript with GPA of 2.5 or higher.

·        Community Service - We require confirmation of community volunteer service at RCONA neighborhood events (1 or more) in order of preference: 1) RCONA event; 2) Neighborhood Association level event or service. This information can be noted in the Community Activity Section of the “GeneralApplication.”

·        Please identify in your Essay the Neighborhood Association with which you are associated. This can be found in https://rcona.org/ under My Neighborhood.

·        Recommendation letter from a Teacher OR High School Counselor.

·        Special Essay of 250-500 words answering the following question:

“How has volunteering for RCONA or a Neighborhood Association event(s) and in your community helped shape who you are today?”

Award Recipients: Winners must provide full time enrollment details at a 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational school to RCONA Scholarship, 1911 Douglas Blvd., Suite 85-370, Roseville, CA 95661. Our website: https://rcona.org/
